$650 for 6 performances, includes $30 non-refundable lottery fee due when the application is submitted. (taxes inc.)
Please note: The Victoria Fringe does not require payment of the full participant's fee ($620) unless you are confirmed in the festival. If you are drawn in the lottery, you pay the fee upon confirmation. If you are on the waiting list, you don't pay until we can offer you a spot in the festival and you accept.
The Victoria Fringe participates in the CAFF Touring Lottery, and holds an early-bird draw for 10 Victoria based companies in December. In mid-January, we draw the other categories. Applications are accepted in the following regional quotas: 50% British Columbia, 35% Other North America, 15% International.

Victoria's 7 venues average 110 seats, with the smallest being 100 seats and the largest 200. About half are existing performance venues of various kinds (recital halls, theatres, studios), half are fully-outfitted theatres created in community spaces.
We also consider local Site Specific productions, where the location of the performance is integral to the content of the show (ie. a park, a classroom). These are accepted on a case-by-case basis - please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to request an application form. Note: Site Specific productions are required to supply their own Front of House Manager. Victoria Fringe supplies 2 box office volunteers.

The annual Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival takes over Canada’s gorgeous Garden City in late summer for an 11-day celebration of live performance from around the world, featuring an eclectic mixture of spoken word, drama, musicals, comedy, magic, music, theatre for young audiences and more.
The Victoria Fringe will enter its 34th year in 2020, beginning with a spectacular Preview on Fringe Eve, August 26.
A mid-sized (50-60 show) festival, Victoria’s Fringe is one of the oldest in Canada has a reputation for adventurous, educated audiences; an experienced, friendly and easily accessible festival team; and a local arts community that has cultivated many of Canada’s favourite Fringe performers and alternative theatre companies over the decades.
The city of Victoria is located on Vancouver Island, about 3.5 hours from Vancouver by land and car ferry (90 mins).
